Depends on the situation... I've done both.At this time of the year, I would probably tell them but accept there's no chance and then hope I can move on?
It depends on how much you like them. If they are decent people and you know that they wont go round spreading, sometimes I find its easier to hear them say that they don't like you. It's easier for you to move on :)

OMG this is worse than the last one! Rejection is a bitch, it really depends on the chance of success- X(
Yeah, well, we all know which one is the best choice (1). But we also know which one people take most of the time (2).That said, theres a time and a place - as naveen says depends on the chances of success.oh and yeah, if they're the type of person who tells everyone or makes a big fuss over it, then either you gotta be pretty confident or just don't.
